 Haiducii is the artistic name of Paula Mitrache aged 27. Paula is already popular in Romania as a singer, actress and national TV presenter. Paula lives in Bucharest but often travels to Italy. She speaks English and Italian fluently, besides Romanian which is her native language.
`Haiducii` has just debuted in Italy and `Dragostea din tei` is her first single out, part of an album project to be released very soon. A solid dance track of big impact, also available as a remix by Gabry Ponte.
An extraordinary debut considering that only a week after its release, the single is number one in the Italian sales chart.
Dragostea means love, din tree, tei linden : the track’s title means `love made under the linden tree`.
Haiduci in Romanian means: brave individual, a fearless person who steals from the rich to give to the poor, a sort of Robin Hood... |
